Cozzie’s Tavern & Grill, formally Windy Acres and The Now Open, has a long history of being a local favorite.

Appreciated by many for its “hole in the wall” country bar feel, the Cosgrove’s saw an opportunity in the closed establishment in 2015.  Located on over an acre of land, the Cosgrove’s envisioned creating a fun outdoor space but also believed the area would welcome and appreciate a local tavern offering good food at reasonable prices.  So the Cosgrove’s developed a business plan which included renovating and cleaning up both the inside and outside of the bar while being able to maintain the rustic country bar charm that so many peopled loved. 

The name Cozzie’s Tavern & Grill is the couple’s nick name which references their last name, Cosgrove. How do you say Cozzie’s? C-AH-ZZIES

Chris and Jen Cosgrove are both originally from Stillwater where they currently reside with their two daughters.  The Cosgrove’s owned and operated Darla’s Grill & Malt Shop (now Leo’s Grill & Malt Shop) for nearly ten years in downtown Stillwater.  In 2008, the couple moved to Sarasota, Florida after selling Darla’s, but began looking for a bar/restaurant space after they moved back to Stillwater in 2014. 

Chris and Jen feel extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to provide a laid back yet fun gathering place within the community and look forward to the years ahead at Cozzie’s Tavern & Grill!
